Ingredients

  • 2–3 ripe tomatoes

  • Fresh mozzarella cheese

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • Extra virgin olive oil

  • Salt

  • Black pepper

  • Balsamic glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella into even rounds.

  2. Arrange them on a plate, alternating tomato and mozzarella slices.

  3. Tuck fresh basil leaves between the layers.

  4. Drizzle generously with olive oil.

  5. Season with salt and black pepper.

  6. Add balsamic glaze on top if desired.
